Who I Am

I’m a stay at home Mom to three little boys. After 6 years of trying to conceive a child, my husband and I did IVF and conceived three baby boys. It was a really hard pregnancy and I spent the last 9 weeks of it in the hospital laying on my left side and was not able to even get up to take a shower or use the restroom for the first 3 weeks. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. The boys are 3 now and definitely in that term people use called “The terrible twos and the horrible threes.” They never stop. I look at other couples with only one child and remember how much easier only one would have been but then I think about my boys and wonder who I wouldn’t have had. I love them all so much. I volunteer for the childrens hospital in the NICU where my children were born. I am on the Neonatal Advisory Panel and I counsel other families who have multiples in the NICU. I am also now volunteering for a National Volunteer Organization called “Sidelines” that supports women on long term bedrest while pregnant. It’s become a very rewarding career that I cherish every day.

Hi there… I stumbled upon your blog and just thought I’d say hi. :) We tried for baby #2 for 6 years, eventually we did IVF and ended up with only one from the procedure. Our little guy was born early and sent to the NICU as well. It is definitely a unique and scary experience! Although I’m sure your situation is on a whole different level altogether. Good luck to you!
